Peripheral Neuropathy: SIgns and Symptoms

Patients can experience a varying degree of symptoms of peripheral neuropathy depending on severity and type of nerve damage, however here are some common signs and symptoms to be aware of:

Numbness, Tingling, Pain

Muscle Weakness in Legs and Arms
A feeling of heavy legs, difficulty in walking or running, a lot of effort to walk up the stairs, stumbling. Difficulty in opening up jars or turning doorknobs, dropping things.

Loss of Balance and Coordination
Gait changes, lose the ability to sense your feet, uncoordinated when walking.

Autonomic symptoms
Abnormalities in blood pressure and pulse, unusual sweating, constipation or diarrhea, sexual dysfunction and more.
